During Geoff Keighley's Summer Game Fest showcase, fans of Hajime Isayama's legendary manga and anime series Attack on Titan were treated to the announcement of the third game in the series, developed by Omega Force and published by Koei Tecmo Games.
What Attack on Titan 3 Could Include
After years of waiting, fans can finally look forward to experiencing the events of The Final Season in video game form and reliving the epic conclusion of the Attack on Titan story. The announcement trailer gave us a first glimpse at what appears to be the most ambitious entry in the series yet, featuring stunning visuals, familiar characters, and intense Titan battles.
It is rumored that players will be able to experience the entire story, from the beginning all the way to the series finale. If true, this would allow both longtime fans and newcomers to relive the complete journey of Eren, Mikasa, Armin, and the rest of the Scout Regiment in a single game.
While gameplay details remain limited, it is expected that Attack on Titan 3 will continue to offer the multiplayer and cooperative experiences that made previous entries so enjoyable. Teaming up with friends to take down massive Titans is a feature many fans hope will return with even more depth and content.
More Details Arrive Next Month
Omega Force also announced a special livestream scheduled for July 1st, where more information about the game will be revealed. Fans are hoping for an extended gameplay showcase, details on game modes, and perhaps most importantly, an official release date.
Personally, as a longtime Attack on Titan fan, I couldn't be more excited. I'm especially interested to see whether the developers introduce alternative story paths or "what-if" scenarios that allow players to experience the story in new ways. While nothing has been confirmed yet, the possibilities are exciting to think about.
For now, the reveal has already succeeded in generating massive hype within the community. With a dedicated livestream just around the corner, it hopefully won't be long before we learn more about what could become the ultimate Attack on Titan game. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a collector's edition packed with exclusive extras, including a Levi statue for longtime fans of the series.
